How Do I Get To The Plantations?

The best way to get to the plantations is by tour bus or car. There are no shuttles, trains, or boats that currently transport commercially. As you see on the map below, most of the plantations are within relatively close proximity of each other. If you plan your route wisely, you can visit 2-3 plantations each day allowing yourself to enjoy each plantation (if you drive by car of course).

If you're planning on doing some heavy sightseeing, we highly recommend making arrangements to stay the night at one of the plantation bed and breakfasts. It would be easier to stay overnight than to drive back and forth from New Orleans. For address information for each plantation, visit our comprehensive tour page.
